Get em while they are hot.

Here is a quick list of players who you should find available and could help you if you are looking to fill a spot thanks to a cold bat or an injury.

Marlon Byrd of Texas is 11 hits in his last four games, but the only 4 RBI's came on Sunday.

Mike Jacobs in Florida has 5 hits in his last two games with 2 of those being Homers and 5 runs and 5 RBI's.

Denard Span of the Twins has 10 hits with 7 RBI's and 2 stolen bases in the last week.

In the last week Kazuno Matsui of the Astros also has 10 hits in the last week with a run scored in 6 straight games with 3 RBI's.

HOT PITCHER ALERT.

Paul Byrd has 4 straight wins with a complete game on Sunday while only giving up 2 runs.

Brian Moehler of the Astros has 3 straight wins and has a respectable 3.83 ERA on the season and has only game up 3 runs in the 20.2 innings during those 3 wins.

Good Luck and get them while you can

Paul, there is rumours that Ryan Church of the Mets could be back early September. Would you think it a good decision to pick him up or pass on him. Jerry Manuel said he would be happy to have Ryan back in the line up. Before Church's concussion syndrome he had 63 hits at 205 at bat. Avg 307 and a 370 OBP. But, as you know with a concussion it could be a long time until he is cleared by doctors.

If you have room on the roster then pick him up just in case he is cleared and plays well, but be careful not to over commit to him.
